I started a job 6 months ago. There are only 3 of us that work there. The other 2 only havve a years experience. I have 16 years experience in the liquor, wine retailing in a high end liquor store. They won't include me in there little private jokes, or listen to any of my suggestions about the store. I am quite a bit older than them. The tension there is getting worse. They shoot down everything i try to do. I can make that store run more efficiently. Don't ask me to talk to the manager because they don't have one, if I tell the General Manager he'll just think i;m stirring up trouble. He doesn't know the other two like I do. MP

You have nothing to lose so just straight out ask them what it is about you they dont like. Im guessing you will take them by surprise and they wont know how to reply. If they do have a reason tell them you would like to work any problems out. If they dont tell them they act like they are still in high school and it's pathetic.

The reason they don't like you is because you come in there,and start telling everyone how smart you are,and how everything they are doing is wrong. Since there is no manager they don't want the new person coming in there and telling them what to do. Either just do your job,and mind your own business or find another job.

Maybe they think, you are trying to take over, because you have more exspirence, try asking them questions [even if you know the answer], like do you think, this display would look better here, or over there. Make them feel, as if you value thier opinion. Also, it would'nt hurt to make a good will gesture, maybe, order in pizza in for lunch, for everyone, let them know your not trying to be the boss, thats probably why they resent you.

well, if you have other options, and a tight resume, you don't have to stay anywhere where you're not happy or appreciated.
