frustration is sometimes the best way they learn to do it quickly try putting a toy just out of reach they usually are so determined to get it the forget to cry. Babies will only ever do things when they are ready to.

My daughter is 7 1/2 months now and I found that she doesn't like lying on her belly either, she also crys and gets irritated being in that position. However, when I put her in her walker she's a whizz!!! Don't worry though, some babies adapt to crawling, teething in slower stages. Maybe your son will walk before he crawls. I made a comment the other day to my brother in law about how I can't wait till she starts walking - he replied "and when she starts walking you be telling her to sit down/don't touch that" etc.... from that I just savour every moment. After all they have a long way to go and they are JUST BABIES!! Good Luck!

He's doing well by already shuffling across the floor! Yeah, they do get frustrated when they cant get where they want... I know some dont agree but I gave my girl a walker at this age. She loved it, as finally she could zoom around the room like she wanted to. Of course you have to make sure to baby proof your house, and not let your baby use it too often, but I dont see anything wrong with it otherwise. You might try that. Normally babies dont crawl for another mth or two .

Aw he's still young, he'll get it soon enough. My daughter was at that stage for about 3 weeks then finally started crawling at 7 1/2 months. Apart from motivating him with exciting toys and roll alongs, theres not much you can do except leave him on the floor lots till
he works it out for himself.
Good luck!

Babies don't usually start to crawl at that age. Just continue the tummy time and when he gets frustrated put him in a different position. The Nipissing District Development Screen™ says to place toys in various positions and distances from them so they can reach out and grasp them. Say, "Get the (name of the toy)". Try putting him in a jolly jumper type thing so he can strengthen his leg muscles.

Im a nanny and the best way Ive found to incourage crawling is to have your partner/friend be at one end of your baby and you at the other while your bubs on there tummy and simulate the crawling action by right arm up right knee up then do it to the left and so on..... hope that helps

Theres nothing you really can do...

He will get the hang of it eventually. Just give him time.

I tried all the same stuff at first with my little girl but it didnt make it happen any quicker/

When hes ready, he'l crawl.... Try placing he's toys a little bit out of he's reach, not far but far enough that if he wants them he'l have to move to get them....

Dont worry, he will get there when he is ready. just give him time and encourage him with toys at a distance from him, to see if he can get there by himself. Once he starts crawling he will be into everything and you might wish you could keep him in one place.

He'll do it when he's good and ready im afraid, but it sounds like he's heading in the right direction and figure it out for himself pretty quick! My little girl crawled at 6 months and was walking at 9 months and although i was proud of her its hard work as theyre much harder work at that age when theyre moving everywhere!

The "normal" age for crawling for babies is 9 months so theres no rush but its sounds like he'll get the hang of it soon enough! Try placing something he really really wants just out of reach so he has to get to it himself.

Good look sounds like you'll have your hands full!

Don't stress hon enjoy it. Once he is crawling, you will wish he was still just laying around on his tummy. My grandson is 9 mos and he is not crawling yet. Some babys walk before they are actually crawling. It is normal
