After seeking academic advice, I registered for General Chem I and Trig for next semester. I;ve had an introductory chem class in high school but I'm never had Trig. I do know that they are both entirely different mathematically.

What do you all think? I'm already registered for a Psychology course, a Political Science course and a Computer course. Would taking both Chem and Trig in the same semester be way too difficult? Although I was told that I have the capablitlies, I still have concerns ... basically because I work 27 hours a week ....

Regardless to what my advisors suggest, I think I should take either Chem I or Trig during the spring/ summer semester, but I'm really unsure .... maybe its possible to take both courses and maybe I should just drop Political Science?

I don't you ... please help ...

I only need Trig because I have to take Calc I in the Fall of 2007 ... or at least I hope I can. I would love to skip trig but I can't I have two or three (depending on this semester right now) semesters to go before I can transfer with my two year degree.

It is best to go with what you feel is best. If you feel that taking both courses at the same time would be too much them don't do it. It is best to go into the semester knowing you can kick but in your courses rather than doubting yourself. I have always gotten better results when I know I can handle a course load.

Assuming you have slightly about average mathematical abilities (B to C+ average), Trignometry will take up probably 40% of your available hw/study time with your current schedule (I'm assuming the computer course is applications and not programming). As long as you don't have an evil Chem instructor, Chem should take probably the same time as the Politics max (and if you did well in hs, even less).

I'd go for it; it'll be a little stressful but is shouldn't really come close to being suicidal. Best of luck.
