The term "wonders of the world" originated with a greek text that desribed the 7 wonders of the ancient world.

So lots of books will talk about the 7 wonders of the modern world, of asia, etc... but there is no one list that is decisive. Aside from the 7 ancient wonders, there are no '7 wonders of the world'

There are different types of wonders--I'm assuming that you're talking about the ancient ones. The only one of the 7 left standing are the Pyramids of Egypt, obviously in Egypt. Contrary to popular belief, the Great Wall of China is NOT a wonder of the world.
