It depends on what your motherboard can take. I would recommend the following card:

nVIDIA 7600GT

You can buy this online from £90-£120 and is a fantastic high end mid-range card. I personally have the PCI Express version which is much faster then it's AGP counterpart.

Dont just look at how much memory the card comes with. As some of the better cards come with less, but the memory technology is more modern and much faster - therefore the card performs better.

Graphic cards can cost up to £300.
The best answer is what do you want to display on your screen.
If you have some graphic intensive games in mind then you need one with at least 256MB memory.
For normal word processing and internet access a 32Mb or 64Mb is more than adequate.
Also you need to know what slots are available on your pc eg AGP, or PCI or PCI express.

ok first of you didnt stat if you running AGP or PCI-Express so here's a few to think about and they are one's that in the price range your looking at will still run very good graphics.
just check following links out, at end of the day its really up to you to make the final choice.
last one is a few quid over price but it is a nice card.
