problem with my writing?

Question

what should i do? ok i am writing this series of stories in spanish, wich is my first language, I also write a lot in english, but I am having some trouble writing in spanish, my ideas and verbs, stuff like that i cant put them together, they sound cheese and without style, unlike when I write in English. so yeah what shoulkd i do?

(also if someone tha's vilengual and have spare time to read would like to compare some of my storyes in both languages give me ur mail (maybe its just my impression))

I think you should look at why this is happening. I am fluent in Spanish but not completely bilingual. I can try reading them if you like.
Here's the thing: if Spanish is your first language, that usually means that you think in Spanish. Mine is English and I think in English. When I speak and write Spanish, I am often translating before I do so. I am a little puzzled when you say you're having trouble putting the Spanish version together. When you speak Spanish, there's no such problem, right? Perhaps you are not accustomed to actually writing in Spanish?
I think you should try to write it the way you would say it in Spanish.

Get yourself a Thesaurus in Spanish? I always keep a thesaurus by my side when writing in English so I can always use the most specific and expressive words to describe what I'm writing about. I would think you can find a thesaurus in Spanish at a bookstore, but if not maybe online? (Yeah, I know, ordering online can be sort of a hassel, but if you're a serious writer, it's probably worth it...)

I think you already have the right idea. Get a proofreader, someone who won't yank your cord by saying it is great when it isn't. Often enough, we say great things but think they sound corny just because we said it. A second or third opinion is always best, and then you can work together to fix anything that really is corny.

Also, there's nothing wrong with rewording a phrase to make it sound better if you think of a way when proofreading it.

I am just learning spanish, but I think I can help you. Try practicing the subject pronouns (I, we, you, you all...) in english and spanish and make sure they match up and make sense. Then try doing it for the form of "Ser" I am pretty sure that this is your problem, but if you have a problem with mixing up words like "cuanto" and "cuando", gender, and plurals, I suggest you to get a steno book so you can record things and look at the right spelling, wording ect. I hope this helps!
