Why do you ruin your country by saying things like this, this is why lots of people hate americans, i just see so many pathetifc americans say thsi crap, you might aswell say "Im better than you" and thats just crap, you haven't been everywhere in fact you probably haven't ever been our of USA, so how can you say. You people (the ones who say it) are just following in a chain of pricks, who are so ignorant and say sh** like this, America wasn't even that goo dwhen i went there, the people were no fun, humor STANK! My guess is that you're not American and someone must have pee u off today! :)
Thing is most natives do NOT know anything but America and DO think that the world revolves around them - geography is not a big subject there unless you're one of the stars in the flag.
Then again, when a country is very successful in something, like cinema, sports, overriding the UN security council, etc, the people do get a feeling of pride which gets carried away.
When you think about it, when someone says England are the greatest Cricket team, then again WHO else plays cricket??... and the World Series (?) do not involve any other country but the US.
Oh well, you just have to be happy by being a bit more intelligent than who speaks like that!

America is a wonderful place that could be a whole heap better, it's just a shame that the diverse cultures that live their don't get along. They should really be selfish for 10 years, ignore the rest of the world and spend the money from foreign efforts and wars on improving life for its citizens, cracking down on crime, eliminating the ghetto's and reducing the carbon emissions.

America's currency and influence on this planet globally, makes american citizens tend or want to believe that this power gives america the right to lay claim in every countries problems and create even bigger ones. WWW 2 Hiroshima, Revolutions and wars, Vietnam and Korea, now the middle east and the world. Power has to destroy in order to win. Therefore i am Canadian and proud of certain rights we as citizens have, aside from quebec's fight for identity, this country is admired in the world and not feared, rejected, and made fun of as is america.

those people are very very irritating, but i have to say that i was in the US for 3 months, and travelled from east to west, north to south (and even a bit of canada) and found EVERYONE was great.
all friendly and cheerful, all interesting, and no-one was any more arrogant than normal.
i had a fantastic time, and think americans get a bit of a hard time (except george dubya - he's a fanny!)

I agree with you. I have lived in and visited many countries in my 50 years of life, and it is only young dumb Americans that brag like that. Anyway, I understand your being offended by those ignorant bastards. However, I see no other country that can compare with the United States....even with all our imperfections.
