" They " would choose you...you don't choose them. You don't go out and hold up a sign along the road hitching a ride. It's not like putting an ad in the paper stating that you're seeking to get a ride across country and will chip in for gas. ' They ' would choose you...not you choose them.

Simple.
Make a very large sign with black letters on a white background
that says:
MINNEOPOLIS, MINN.
Take the sign and go stand on top of the highest hill around you, and hold the sign up over your head so it can be seen by passing UFO drivers. If one is headed that way, they will probably stop and pick you up.
Alternative Number 1:
Run an add in the local Bargain Trader Magazine. The add should read something like this: "Attractive 16 Year old Blonde seeks ride in your UFO. Meet me at Larry's Truck Stop, Exit 140A on Interstate 20, between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM Monday thru Friday." Run this advertisement and then be there to meet your ride.
Alternative Number 2:
Interview for a slot on one of the Late Nite TV Shows and when you get on one, discuss why you want to ride in a UFO with the Late Night Show Host. Someone in the audience might give you a telephone number, or address where you can get more explicit information.
