Typical mom, cook for everyone else, go out to eat with anyone, but refuse to even heat up leftovers for myself.
I know it's typical, but the only person I've found who overcame it was a diabetic whose health really suffers if that keeps up.
Any ideas?

this is one of those questions where the response is one of those easier said than done answers.

the more important question is-how much do you really care for and love yourself.

i was in a situation before where after breaking up with a girl i wa sinvolved with for a long time,i couldn't even watch a movie alone anymore.

but starving yourself because you don't wanna eat alone is like smoking-it's suicide in slow motion.sounds kinda harsh but step back and think about it.Is it actually the company or the food that gives you the nutrients or the energy that you need to function in your daily life.

Again.not an easy thing to do but what worked for me was that i started bringing ANYTHING with me everday-kind of a back-up.An apple,a chocolate bar-just so i won't be in that situation where everybody can actually hear those strange noises your tummy makes when you get really hungry.Eventually started being able to buy food to go,find a comfortable spot and eventually learned how to eat alone.

eventhough,i've dated other girls after that,i still manage to find myself in an "alone' situation once in a while but at least now,I don't starve myself anymore for that fear of eating alone.

I am a bit of a loner, so for me it is not a problem. I would suggest just making simple meals for yourself when you need to. And eat in front of the TV, that will keep you company.

I kind of relate, there's always that feeling of wastefulness, especially if you're a mother. I say that it's not such a bad thing, and if it keeps you thinner, why not? Unless you're hypoglycemic or something, or you're REALLY hungry, it's not too much of a problem.

Have friends over, read some verses together, sing some psalms, have some lunch, talk, laugh, grow, and be happy!

There is nothing wrong with eating alone. I always eat alone and I never mind.
