because of the lack of outdoor lifestyle in the UK? I've noticed you don't see nearly as many angry youths in sunny countries or maybe their discipline in schools and home is more effective?

A few of you suggest parenting which is partly to blame. I turned out ok despite a lack of parenting. It's more a case of acknowledging right and wrong and then accepting responsibility. I also think that criminals are glorified among the working class and this spills over to the kids. Yes, perhaps more should get arrested but then again prison is more comfortable than home...so they say. No responsibility.

I have no idea, I'm American... I always thought you guys were just upset because you eat too many scones and other gross foods. But angry youths are all over, and people who tell them "Go outside and play" are even more annoying. Yeah, I'm going to go and freeze my butt off here in Detroit and then get shot, sounds like fun. We've got computers and video games and everything here indoors, but most importantly, we have heating and air conditioning.

thats what you would class as a chav.. they cause all kinds of yobbish culture and they terrorise people for the fun of it.. its not about climate or what they have around where i live they built a skatepark and a youth centre skters like myself enjoyed the skate park but within a few days idiotic chavs came along and burnt down the ramps and spray painted all over the youth centre and broke in to steal the lapotops they had... so it has nothing to do with lifestyle its the parents.. im not anti social i work hard and i play video games but i want to be a games developer so how can i do that unless i play them...

ALL WE NEED TO DO IS STOP CHAV CULTURE BY PUTTING THEM ALL IN PRISON>>>>>>>

thats what id do anyways

The UK has got it all wrong.
They do stupid things like ban hoodies in shopping centres, making them feel like victims for just wearing typical teen clothing then the people who actually do things wrong get laughable sentences.
A lot of the time they are actually rewarding the bad ones to encourage them to be good.
I think the middle ones are thinking why bother being good? And the good ones are getting pissed off and being tempted to turn bad because they get no recognition for being good.

I doubt it's to do with the sun. It's to do with the binge drinking and all that. Just different cultures.

I wouldn't say frustrated, just bored, because of lack of good, healthy activities. Some are hooked on their PS2's or Gamecubes and play violent games which just depress them. Even with parks and football fields, there is the problem of yobs in them, many other teenagers are just scared to go there.

parents have got bored because of technological diversions. remember a good parent wants to get involved ore with their children. Laziness in guardianship is the reasoning. New age has just helped to bring it out more, what was already there!

Trust me you have just the same amount of angry youths in the sunny countries as you do in Canada. I live in Jamaica and with the increase in violence and the educational challenges we are just fed-up with everything.I guess its a youth thing

nothing is new or fun for the youth these days, they take everything for granted because they do not realize what it is like in other countries or what it was like before all of this technology

youths are youths.

They're still searching for their identity. And they feel they're always right. What more do you expect?
