I was thinking of getting a Betta and housing it in the 2 gallon wall hanging fish tank (Fish Bubbles by Next Wave) and was wondering how do I take it off the wall to clean it? Do I have to unscrew it and when done screw it back on? I'd have to do it once a week, would that ruin the wall?

I'm not a great fan of wall hung aquariums, but the answer you seek is a stool. They're wonderful things you can stand on to reach things up high. I dont mean to be sarcastic, but I was left to watch over one for a summer, and I will be honest... I had the most awful time cleaning it.

Be sure you want to climb up and down a lot before you put it above your head :(

Also I'd urge you to consider the hanging principle and that water weighs in at 8lbs a gallon. Small tanks can be hung easily as the one you mention since they're only 25 pounds or so.

So yeah thats the thing, dont take it off the wall, climb up there with a gravel vaccume suck the gravel clean and carry water up to it to gently readd it.

If they are designed to come off the wall, I feel like a dork using a stool at my friends place all summer. Although I wouldnt want to try carrying a tank off the wall anyways so i think the stool is your best bet.

This tank is not suitable for a Betta.

It is almost impossible to maintain the water quality & there is no provision for heating, which Bettas need, or any way to prevent a Betta jumping out.

Why not fix a shelf to the wall & get a 2 g + eclipse tank to stand on it?

If you place some algae eating fish in the tank, they will eat the algae from the tank walls. Snails are also used for this function.
