Thankgiving means a time giving thanks to things you have in life like family, friends, money, food, health, a house and all the nessecties in life. I think we should celebrate thanksgiving everyday because i no many of us americans would spend all thanking all tihe little you have and then the next day would compalin all the things you don't have like a nice car a nice house a lot of money, good looks, and just being a spoiled brat. Well i think we shouls gve thnks everyday for the things you have that other people in this world would do anything to get. So i hope u have a blessed thanksgiving and happy holidays.

It reminds me that for all the bad things that happen in this life, we still need to find time to stop and reflect on some of the good stuff that abounds. One thing that comes to mind right off the top of my head is that I am well enough to be at my own home at Thanksgiving, as opposed to being sick or in great pain somewhere in a hospital where I would be isolated from friends and family. There is so much to be thankful for and I think of it often, still I'm glad there is a day out of the year that makes us ever mindful to take time to realize the blessings in our lives.

Being with the family. Then watching football.

Then, about midnight, I sneak into the kitchen, split a dinner roll, smear one side with mayo, the other with cranberry sauce, slap a piece of turkey in there and eat it, standing over the sink in the dark, looking out at the street, thinking how lucky a man I am.

I have relatives in Philadelphia - and they will say (just like many Americans) they thank God and the Pilgrims of the 17th Century- thank all they have. The formation of the America we know today began then...'tis a good reason to celebrate.
