Depending which airlines. I think the only direct flight to US from Australia is Qantas.
So, from Georgia, you need to fly to the West Coast (LAX, most likely), not sure how many hours, 2-3 hrs?
Then from Los Angeles to Sydney, say, about 10-11 hrs.
If you fly Air New Zealand, then they will fly you to Auckland most likely (10-11 hrs from Los Angeles), then another 3 hrs to Sydney.
Add the transit time between flights, it could easily be 20 to 25 hrs journey. Good luck! Pack a good book!

If you go to the American Airlines website you can look up flights at no cost and it'll tell you the excact time you would get there depending on whether its a direct flight or one that has stops. Just make up some dates of when you would want to go.
Check it out, its kinda fun to see where you can go and how long it takes you. I do know that when you fly to Austrailia you lose a day and when you fly back you get a day back.

Depends on how you get from ATL to the west coast. Then LAX to SYD is about 13/14 hours. 12/13 return...unless you get "LOST". Mwahahahaha
