if you didnt cancel you o2 then yes you can use it on the new phone but, as long it is ulocked.
if you took out a new contract then you cant use the old number on the new contract if you didnt get a new contract yet, you can get a Pack number from o2(if it was a contract) and give it to another network and you will get the number transferred.

sorry know the phone will be locked on t mobile network you could use another t mobile sim card but not another network card .
you will have to get the phone unlocked ,it doesnt cost much .
