Im looking to get a new racquet and my swing weight right now for the tennis racquet i have is 300 and i really want this one that has a swing weight of 285. I know it is best to stay in your comfort zone but Is it alright to go 15 less?

Yea, it is fine to go lighter, obviously you'll have to get used to it, but after a few swings you won't notice.

If the racquet is to light then add weight to it but keep it balanced.

As you said, it is good to stay in your comfort zone.
So, find out if it's in your comfort zone!

I suggest trialing the raquet at a club, try a variety of shots and see if it works for you.

If it feels good to you it is just fine. There will be no problems with you going lighter.
