I am sorry I don't agree with the argument that Mr Chapell is responsible for the Indian teams dismal performance in the last 1 year. It is purely depends on the individual player's performance. They have not practised enough for the SA tour. They are very reluctuant to learn from their mistakes, and new skills. I think generally our players are not mentally strong They never have had shown their prowess or guts in the important matches. They never want to practise on the simulated fast tracks or cemented pitches or bowling machines etc. On the whole they never had a professional attitude towards the sport, not good students of the game. They always want to touch the peak in the sport in short time and wants publicity, money, glamour etc in their lives. They lack commitment to correct their flaws in the technique. What a coach who sit out in the pavillion can do? when players have to perform on the field. He can only guide them. Finally it is up to the players to take the tips and perform on their own in the field. The situation doesn't change even if the coach is changed. Even God virtually becomes the coach of our team the things will not change without the active participation of the players themselves. Anyway this is my opinion which is coming out of frustration after yesterday's annihilation in the hands fo SA.

The Indian public is to be blamed. When are we going to stop wasting time, money, energy on cricket? Today, when the cricket team has performed so miserably, the newspapers have give it the maximum space but there is not much coverage of our Women Boxers who have done well, Indian golfers who are performing better. It is this obsession with cricket that has lead to neglect of all other sports and a nation of over One Billion people has just a silver medal in the last Olyimpics. The 11 members of the team that got out for 91 are all either without talent or completely out of form or should retire in dignity.

yes you are right BCCI should signed an agreement with each national player that they will not do any ads, modeling etc exeppt playing cricket.
Hoe serious is our batsman. they request to BCCI not to take part in the practice camp before the SA tour because the were very tired. And next day the are doing modeling and walking on the ramp for making money

How can you blame the coach if the players are not performing to their potential and dedication and commitment. Things will be improved only if the players are made accountable, i.e. their payment should be linked to their performance. Once the players know that they cannot take their match fee for granted and that they have to earn the same by better performance, they will have to work hard.
