I assume you are referring to the musical group known as the Beatles? (Not Beetles, which are insects.) The 5th Beatle was Stuart Sutcliffe. The group actually had 5 members at one time, and Stuart Sutcliffe was one of them. Others have been called "the fifth Beatle", such as Pete Best, whom Ringo Starr replaced. He and others who temporarily played drums with the Beatles weren't actually contributing members of the band as was Stuart Sutcliffe. So most people agree that the title of "5th Beatle" belongs to Stuart Sutcliffe.

Depends on who you ask. Some say it was New York disc jockey, Murray the K, who interviewed them on their first and subsequent trips to the states. He was a big fan and in a position to boost their exposure, which he did.
Others might maintain that it was their producer, George Martin, who pretty much went along with whatever they wanted to do in the studio. George was there to help facilitate all the musical experimentation which changed popular music forever.
My personal opinion is that the fifth Beatle was actually the late, great keyboard player, Billy Preston, who jammed with the Fab Four on the Let It Be album most prominently.
