Basically I am wanting to get a RCA 52 inch tv for $474.00 and was wondering if I am the first in line (as i plan to go to my walk-mart at 10 to wait) will they give me a ticket to get the product or will i have to run throughout the store and try to find it which I will desperately hate just because I may look in the wrong place and when I did find it I would be screwed as they would prob be all sold out.

Thanks

Well I got there at 8:30pm the night before and staked out a set the wal-mart workers who were by the sets worked that night and returned that morning for black friday before they left they said as long as you stay with your set and kept your hand on it it would be yours in the morning...it was a rough haul 8 and 1/2 hours wait there were 7 sets all in boxs most of the sets wern't claimed until 1:45 am at 2:00am the last set was taken up until then things were very fun and campy we were making jokes singing basicly having the best time possible to pass the time! After 2 am though with the last set claimed other shoppers were trying to claim the sets we had stayed with for hours....as far as i'm concerned thats the same as reaching into my buggy and pulling a item out and tensions begain to build! One shopper even tried to have a set pulled away with a pallet jack with no luck at 4:45 the checkers from the night before came back and turned the regesters back on and stated loudly that they knew who had been with the sets and to hold on a little longer.

At 5 am I had my victory dance as my paid for RCA 52" was carried out the front door of wal-mart flanked by 3 wal-mart workers yelling clear the way!!! This is paid for! I was grinning ear to ear when they loaded it onto my truck!!!! Set works GREAT!!!! Picture is AWESOME!!!

My sugestion if you want an item like this make the comitment to to set with the item as long as it takes! Don't ***** about Wal-Mart if you get there at 4:30 am and the sale starts at 5 am when the ad states there may be as few as 3 items!

i was first at my store and arrived at 7pm on Thanksgiving nite. there were only three units at a fairly large super location, including a display that was removed to be one of the special sale units. this means the unit i got was one of only two that was boxed. MANY MANY people came for this deal and i was proud to be the first and undisputable first claimant. I WAS THE ONLY NON-EMPLOYEE TO WALK WITH A SET. do i think this is fair? NO. our set also has a defect and came with no manual or remote. had i known all of this before i elected to go sleepless, i may have just ordered the next best deal-- the 699.99 hitachi from BestBuy online. but i wanted to replace an RCA with an RCA and the price did seem unbeatable. my wife and i had wanted this tv since it was 1200 + and i don't care to own one of the flat plasmas just yet. RCA has been wonderful as they are repairing(or replacing) the set (free) and sending the missing items. im not so sure walmart wasn't just unloading returned equipment that the manufacturer has stopped making. everyone i know said there were VERY low numbers available at the locations they waited at. the walmart experience was my first and last time doing the black friday thing... till next year. now if only i could find a nintendo wii to play on this thing!

I got to a 24 hour Walmart at about 10pm to wait all night until 5am to try and get a 52" RCA HDTV.
As a 50 year old, I don't normally do weird things like this. I saw teenagers on TV camping out for Playstation 3s and made fun of them just a few days earlier, so I felt a little guilty for being a hypocrite.....but hey, it was something I wanted!...so it's different, right!? Ok, ...guess not.

The employees said they would not be bringing them out, that they would give out coupons instead at 5am., and to wait by the display model until 5.
They had the display model in the isle near the front with a bench in front of it so I parked my butt and watched the animated movie "Cars" 4 or 5 times. I let as many employees as I could know I was there waiting to buy the TV, just so they would remember me when it came time to hand out coupons.
The next person to come for a TV showed up at 1:30am, then 2 more people showed up at 3am., and a half dozen more came by 3:30am. We all decided that we would stick together and get the coupons in the order we got there. At 4am, we stood up and formed a line so nobody would get any ideas it was going to be a "free for all". By the time 5am arrived, there were about 75 people behind us in the line we had formed.
I was first to get a coupon as planned. There were a total of 6 TVs. They didn't sell the display model.
I'm getting ready to watch the Bears play the Patriots today.....and am real stoked to be able to watch it in HD! Thanks Walmart!......and I promise I'll never make fun of teenagers camping out for X Boxes or Playstations ever again.

I've see this add on the television, twice, haven't seen it since. What I would suggest, call the store and find out more. Not sure if your store is open today. Often these sales are first come, first serve, so if it starts at 5:00 am, forget it, by 10:00 they'll be gone at that price. I looked in our home Wal-mart flyer in massachusetts and cannot find this sale in the flyer which is odd. Good luck to you in your hunt........

as you probabley know by now ( unless you were extremely lucky) you didnt get the rca 52" tv because they only had 3 per store.the walmart up the road had 5 to sell.this was only a cheap trick to get people into walmart to buy other stuff.i was in line a 4:30 that morning and stood no chance of get one of the three.i called walmart to complain but it probabley didnt do any good.

You will have to wait in line. They won't allow you to take the product or get a ticket for it until the sale start time (5 am).

It seems such as you have found out your lesson (first and final time). It truthfully does not injury to touch Walmart - in line with threat they are going to learn their lesson. You adult men weren't the only ones injured on that ridiculous adventure. One worker became into extremely trampled to death. If I have been a legal expert, i might evaluate development a classification action healthful against Walmart over the injuries and deaths that ensue in line with annum as a consequence of them coming up a paying for frenzy. they have a duty to offer a secure paying for/working environment for his or her purchasers and workers. they have confirmed callous habit by repeating this adventure in line with annum even with the outcomes.
