I'm using Windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP 2 in Classic theme. I can't stand it. Windows XP is suppose to come with Windows XP style with Blue, Siver, and Green, but I only have classic! Can I download the Windows XP theme somewhere???

If you don't know what I'm talking about, its when you right click the desktop and point to appearance and/or the theme tab!

EASY CODER, YOU NAILED IT!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! IT NOW LOOKS LIKE I ACTUALLY HAVE WINDOWS XP AND NOT WINDOWS 95!!!!!

1. from start menu =>run
type "services.msc" and press enter
search for a service called "themes" right click on it , chose properties . set it to start automaticaly and press
if this service is not started start it (right click on it , start)
tray a properties on desktop then aparence/themes and see if you get what you need.

2. -- fir first did not work , right click on "my computer" and chose "properties" then click on "advanced" tab. under "persormance" area click on settings . then under "VISUAL EFECTS" SCHOSE adjust for best apparence then apply . this shoul solve your problem

Select the Windows XP theme.

When you click on the themes, change that down arrow, to windows XP. Then you will get a choice of the default blue, the green, and the silver. I just had to do that with my computer. Click on apply, then ok...good luck..

That the theme should already be on your computer... right click on your desktop, then properties, in the window that opens click on theme. It should be in the drop-down list. Once you've selected it, click apply and then OK

control panel,apperance and themes,desktop,go to end of the list to windows xp click and its all yours.i
