I once read a book, in the story it mentioned a Lion that ejacualted as it died. The book (fiction novel) claimed that this was normal as it was like a last ditch effort to continue your genetic line. Is this true?

I'm not asking about post death ejaculation, I'm asking about the point of death or close to it.

I would guess No...

This is because once your dead, your tissues, muscles, nerves , and organs aren't functioning.

This could be true if it were a couple seconds after his death... because it would be closely remniscent to a story where someones head got chopped off, andd he could see his own body from the ground. And that is a true stroy since your nerves in your head continue to funmction for a couple of seconds more...

The only animals who do that are animals who reproduce via dispersal. If they would normally simply release their gametes in the environment for reproduction, they will do so when they die as a last ditch effort. For example, a anenome.

I guess not because when you die you lose muscle tone. Since ejaculation involves repeated muscle contractions it's unlikely.

You do poop though because the sphincter muscle is relaxed.

no its close to true. when you know your going to die you have an overwelming urge to have sex for that exact reason you dont just randomly ejaculate. hwoevery once you die you do excrete many bodily fluids etc but only after several days.
