Last season LeBron put up better numbers than Kobe. That's a fact! Kobe may have scored more points, but LeBron had a higher FG%, more Rebounds, more Assists, and a better Assist-to-Turnover ratio. Also, if I'm not mistaken LeBron led his team to a better regular season record, and to a playoff series victory. He then lead his team to seven games against Detroit. Kobe has yet to win a single playoff series without Shaq. So if LeBron put up better numbers, is twice the athlete (in fact Flip Saunders thinks that LeBron is the fastest player in the NBA), and his team is better, why in the world does anyone still believe that Kobe is a better player? If Kobe is better, please EXPLAIN why he is better. The only thing I get is that I'm crazy for thinking that LeBron's better, but no one ever has anything to back up what they say.

And don't mention the rings. First of all, that was 4 years ago. I'm talking about now. Secondly, he was the #2 option on that team, as is everyone (Penny and Wade) that plays with Shaq. I don't want to hear about 4 yrs ago, or any #2 options please.

lebron is better than kobe because all kobe knows how to do is shoot the ball lebron knows how to shoot the ball pass the ball and rebound the ball thats what makes lebron a total package lebron is 6'8 really quick and real strong. Kobe may be a better shooter but lebron is a petter all around player

Kobe has a killer instinct that LeBron lacks. Kobe can play lock down defense when he wants. Kobe is most people's choice to take a last second shot if needed. Kobe is considered by many to be the one the best players on both sides (offense and defense) of the ball. Don't get me wrong, I love LeBron and he may become better than Kobe in the near future and maybe become the best of all time. Just not yet.

True..Lebron did have better all-around statistics but remmber he is only in his fourth year whereas Kobe has been around much longer. Plus Lebron is still adjusting to being a leader for his team while Kobe, after having learned from Shaq, is already an experiened leader. Also, Lebron is still lacking that killer instinct. If his team is down, instead of taking over, he's more likely to get his teammates involved which isn't a bad thing but if he were take over, his team would probably do much better. Now I'm not saying Lebron doesn't get the job down, he just tends to hold off. Also, I'm not saying Kobe doesn't get his teammates invloved but when he needs to take over he will..as most recently seen by last season's 81 - point performance when his team was struggling and needed it the most. So, most likely, in a few years Lebron will surpass Kobe but seeing as Lebron is still young and Kobe is in his prime, most people still say Kobe is better.

Okay, Lebron's good, but Kobe's better. First of all there are the rings, but everybody's going to say who wouldn't have won them without shaq. But they wouldn't have won it without Kobe either. Another thing Kobe is better at is his clutch shooting and free throw shooting. Lebron is a horrible FT shooter, there are centers that shoot better percentages. Also, he isn't the clutch shooter like Kobe, who can make those game winners. So far in his career, he has hit only one game winner, while Kobe's game winners can't even be counted. I'll admit though that Lebron is a better rebounder, and he should be, given that he's taller and stronger than kobe. He's a decent player who can dish out assists. But Kobe still has more experience. So all I'm trying to say is Kobe in my opinion is better. Hey, Lebron's good, I'm not dissing him, but right now, Kobe is a better player.

Right now at this stage Kobe is a much better player hands down. Kobe is a better defender and can actually MAKE free throws down the stretch when they count! The only knock I have on LeBron is his free throw shooting, that needs to be improved. Oh yeah and more experience will help him out... he's only 21 so plenty of time and growing left to do.

LeBron James is a better all around player, Kobe is a better shooter and he can play good defense if he's motivated(not that often)

lebron is just way too over rated and alot people consider him the next MJ yeah right in my eyes he's an ok player but over he sucks
