I think taking vitamin B6 helps. I also find that just not buying any new clothes or doing anything very social helps me not get depressed. I also find that I am finding fault with everyone and not meaning to when my PMT strikes. I make a rule to think everything mean through in my head before I say it and usually end up not doing it.

I wish there was a miracle cure for PMT (other than the menopause but that brings its own problems). Oh what a bother it is being a woman isn't it!

Evening primrose oil.

Just for the record if you take the contraceptive pill / injection / implant, do not take st john's wort as it proven to decrease the effectiveness of these contraceptives.

You are safe with evening primrose oil!

I have had chronic PMT for donkeys years and tried everything. Nothing works. You have to learn to live with it. Vit. B6, Ev. Prim. Oil, Omega 3, three-monthly injections for sore boobs, arthritis tablets for same, homeopathic remedies. So many. If you do find a cure PLEASE EMAIL ME.

I know it's hard to motivate oneself and go but regular exercise helps. Two weeks before my pms was due I went to exercises classes twice a week and my pms inly last an hour!!! Been doing that ever since and now I feel so much better.

Good luck!

i took st johns wort a few years ago, when i suffered really bad mood swings caused by pms,i found this a great help, and managed to stop taking them without any side effects, unlike the anti-depressants the doctor tried to prescribe me.
