I've heard that Santa is not real. My parents do not believe in him; they say Christmas is a sham and that Santa is a tall tale.

No, of course he's not real. All those presents you get are from your parents. Why do you think they ask what you want for christmas?

OH YES, AND YES. He is very real. He is the inspiration of children. He is the idea of remember someone special and make a surprise with a simple gift. (it does not need to be purchase or anything expensive) just a little surprise showing love.
I am man, a father and still believe in Santa Claus........

He is more real than jesus.
Have you ever seen a commercial starring jesus in it , for christmas ?
No ,didn`t think so .All the retailers of the world could not make any money off of this holiday if they focused on what the holiday really is supposed to be about .
Santa invites all religions to participate in this holiday .,thus keeping profit margins high .
