I have been im'ing a girl for months now. I let her vent and try to give her good advice. and they apparently had a drug party last night and now all of a sudden I am a pervert. I am a kind person , that has prayed for her when she needs help and many others. I just like helping others. But her sister got on the air and called me every name in the book .I prayed that the Lord would forgive her. I just felt so hurt. I am trying to dismiss it, because she was like a grand child to me. Any suggestions.I have been threatened and called a pervert. and it cut very deep.

sad to say, but a lot of young people have no respect for us older folk, regardless of our age and i think it is due to their parents not teaching them and expecting them to even treat them with respect. I'm surprised at the number of kids that don't say please, thank you, yes ma ma' and yes sir. i was brought up that way and at age 52 i still say yes ma ma' to my Mom and yes sir to my Dad and don't think twice about it. But all kids are not like this. And I'm always quick to tell the ones that are polite, how much I appreciate them and their good manners. Kids won't give respect unless you demand respect. I learned that when I use to substitute teach.

Associate with those of your own age category. In genera many younger people today, have no morals or consideration for others.

Unfortunately, kids nowadays have no respect, whether you are over 65 or under. Sorry to hear you are going through this pain.
