My Chemical Romance is FAR from emo! so get that our of your heads.... Y do you think they are emo?

but EMO aren't that bad...
EMO is worth more than they seem to be
they are not a toy in any means cause underneath that eyeliner and one sided hair there's a sign saying "handle me with care"

Emo, I thought, meant emotional music. If that is so, then every singer/band is emo. Everyone has at least one song that is considered emotional.
I think MCR got the emo name because of their first album. Gerard has said in interviews that the first album was a way to deal with his depression. I can see that, it is emotional.

I used to think they were emo, because of the way they dressed. Where i live, emo is mostly black clothes and the hairstyle their guitarist has. now that i no mcr better i realize they rnt emo tho.

i use lables to pick on my friends.. but if you wanna talk emo..
my chemical romance is emo.. because its 'pop' rock..
and because its emotional.. (of course)..
but then again.. what is music without emotion?
manson has his emo moments.. slipknot has their emo moments... cradle of filth has their emo moments.. just not in a pop sense.. like.. maybe my chemical romance.. or panic at the disco.. or fallout boy.. or whatever else 'emo' labled band that out there these days..
ah.. well.. i had my rant.. and i think i'll stop now.. haha..

While their myspace classifies them as rock/metal.. there's no way in HELL that MCR is metal. Just no. Also, anyone that calls them punk doesn't know anything about punk. Pop-punk or rock is closest, but then again, pop-punk is horrible.
