They only performed 2 songs, but this was the best ever live performance of any band that I have ever seen in my life...simply brilliant, genius..

Did you see it? were you there?

Nope... I gave up hope on U2 back in the 80's.

I liked them young, hungry, political, and with a cause that wasn't all about Bono looking good or like he actually has a social conscience.

I don't like their music or them anymore. But i have fond memories of the way they once were though so I still love them for that!

To add to the "Emperors new clothes." comment... I'll see your comment and add a "Rose colored desigenr sunglasses and a hat worth the fuel and time for a plane to go fetch across the world." comment.

How can 'simply brilliant genius' be in the same sentence as U2? Are you their agent or something? The Emporer's New Clothes springs to mind.

No, afraid I wasn't around (as in existing in this world) for it. I hear a lot about it though, wish they'd do a real Live Aid again (not like the knockoff a few years ago).

I saw it on TV at the time - they were brilliant. They were due to do another song (perhaps Pride?) but Bad went on too long because of Bono's antics with the crowd so they had to cut it out.

I wasn't there but I bought the DVD for my sister's ex for Christmas a couple of years ago.

AMAZING concert... I was 7 at the actual time of Live Aid.

All I can say is that you must have led a very sheltered life.

Come on now! that oaf clayton can hardly string two notes together.
