Always start with biological solutions- get tested for hormonal and neurobiological components.
Eat right, get your rest but not too much, and exercise and get out in the sun for mood regulation.
If you can't get it right that way, then get busy for the common good.
Forget yourself, and there you are. Focus on yourself, and you are lost.

Grief and ecstacy can not be controlled and SHOULDN'T.there's a reason why humans shed tears, sometimes the stress is way too much for the mind and body(coz they AFFECT each other,no matter how hard you try to separate them-unless you're a highly trained/evolved Yogi or trained in a certain discipline)to bear and JUST LIKE STEAM,it builds up and needs to VENT!

You have to let it take it's course.THERE IS NO EXACT WAY OF TELLING HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH BECAUSE EVERYBODY DEALS WITH GRIEF IN A DIFFERENT WAY!

Not sure about the ecstasy part though..i mean with having excessive ecstacy(besides people thinkin' yer nuts but at these times who isn't?)?Kinda like that Robin William's movie "Patch Adams" where the dean hated him for his "excessive happiness".

it's so sad that our so called modern society has ingrained sarcasm and apathy into our everyday lives that someone being overly happy or cheerful warrants the idea that THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG with that person.

grief and ecstacy are both normal human emotions and like all emotions they too will pass. There is nothing to work through. Feelings are just that, feelings. They are neither good nor bad. They are neither right nor wrong.

When you experiece a feeling the fastest way to help it pass is to acknowledge the feeling.

Why would you want to 'work through' grief?

Finding an even keel or happy medium in life isn't easy...I just try not to worry about it and do my best and hope good things come from it and sometimes they do :)
