In order to travel back in time you would have to go faster than the speed of light. However many scientists say that travelling faster than light is impossible. Their is the theory of 11 dimensional super gravity. This means that aside from our three dimensions of space their are more but they are curled up into a taurus (a yoctoscopic doughnut shape) by gravity. The easiest way to travel back in time, would be if a supercivilization could create a second time dimension. With our one dimension of time we can only move 180 degrees or forward. If their was a second dimension of time you could travel 360 degrees or backwards and forwards. Stephen hawking said something along the lines of "a black hole is a higher dimension of space, projected onto our 3 dimensional space, by the collapse of a sun into a neutron star". If a very advanced race of beings found a higher dimension of time they could initiate a temporal hologram and move 360 deg through time. So in a very theoretical sence it could be possible, however as far as current empirical science suggests it is impossible unless you can go faster than light. Or if their is such a thing as cosmic strings, if you could circle a cosmic string you could supposedly traverse time, but I am uncertain of the exact mechanics of such a procedure.

Personally, I don't think a human can do time travel in the next 100 years. There could be exotic matter and energy that we just have not discovered yet that can do this magic. It's important not to close the door on this idea. There are fantastic discoveries that have not yet been made. Let's keep an open mind.

No, the future does not exist yet and if they could don't you think people would have come back and told us about it on a mass scale not like one of those wierd magazines that you find at the store with a three headed goat that was born from a moose in the middle of the atlantic ocean after it was flung from the sky by little flying girls. It would be all over the news. Fox and Cnn al that crap.

All those people stuck at airports are already in time travel. None of them ever figured on taking all this time to travel a few miles for a visit.

If a human have been given in a spaceship( hypothetically ) and "without postpone performed" comfortable velocity and then traveled at comfortable velocity for a whole 3 hundred and sixty 5 days then (have been given right here to an on the spot grant up, reversed direction, immediately performed comfortable velocity and ) have been given right here decrease decrease back to earth, it could be precisely 2 years in an prolonged time earth and the tourist could be precisely 2 years older. despite if to the OBSERVER in the worldwide who WATCHED this methodology, you're able to additionally see the tourist bypass away earth, freeze in time, not age for a whole 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, abruptly look a three hundred and sixty 5 days older, stay frozen at that age and abruptly look yet yet another 3 hundred and sixty 5 days older decrease decrease back at earth. Its the image that undergoes Time Dilation, not the extremely guy or woman. via way of fact the advice on the undertaking of the transformations in the passage of time are plagued via employing the fee of the tourist, the advice hurries up or slows down subsequently. the extremely passage of time is a easy consistent in spite of ones physique of reference, velocity, acceleration, or relative action.

Relativistic physics seems to indicate that it may be possible to cheat time, at least on a quantum level. There are indications that in some experiments particles may arrive at their targets before they leave the starting gate, at least

Read about the Alain Aspect experiment.

So we can't rule out that it may be possible to harness this effect for out benefit at some time.

Even Einsteins equations allow for the distortion of time for objects which are moving at high velocities with respect to other object, or which are moving through distorted regions of the time space continuum, but that falls a bit short of confirming time travel.

Would be fun, though, wouldnt it.

I think that travelling back in time could create a paradox situation , ..say i jumped in my time machine and went back in time and killed my grandfather , then i wouldnt be born ..then i couldnt go back and kill him ...
