How do you know they're homophobic?
just because others disagree doesn't mean they're scared of or wish to discriminate against homosexuality or homosexuals. I
won't defend them too much because I don't have your experience and I don't know if they are or not but I think there's all sorts that visit this thread and the more the better.
It's well and good having like minded people on but it's much better to involve unlike minded people especially if they're objective in a place like Yahoo! Answer because they can anonymously post their prejudices and have other people from everywhere set their views for or against it.
We get more progress that way than bullying people out or preferring not to deal with people of other opinions.
I believe that humans are essentially good, and they wish to be positive and sociable etcetera but some are brought up with hangups. This is as good a forum as any that they can use to hang up those hangups.

It's not that a lot of homophobes visit this thread per se . . . It's just that there are a lot of homophobes period. And because of the anonymity here they get to express themselves without having to answer to it, no pun.
So, the answer to your question is neither hypocrites or denial. Maybe you are the one lost, lol. The greatest one thing I've learned about homosexuals is they're just like every other immature ****-boy who wants to feel loved. And when they don't get what they want, they start pointing fingers.
Here's a bit of advice, "Look at both ends of the stick before you start poking with it."

I didn't visit this thread... I was in questions in general and it appeared there.... the Title was the invitation. So... to answer your question. I'm not homophobic, in denial or lost... nor am I homosexual, deniable or found.
You need to understand though that not all people will agree with or understand homosexuality and therefore as they have the right to say (sometimes unfortunately) what they think, they will. Like the god botherers and the aethiests, they bait each other daily... because they can.

People are inquestive. They also seek cheap intertainment and this is a great site for intertainment.
This is online jeopardy of a sorts. People actually come here for peace ,intertainment, and help and try their best to help others.
Personally I have gotten a lot out of yahoo's Q%A series sense it began. It's true there is a lot of bull in here , even some nasties, but that's human when you have 4 billion people looking.
There are very few people on earth when you consider the entire population who are interested in homosexuals or trasgendered( who in hell invented that word). most of truely feel for gays and thank they should receive help for their condition.
There is no reason to be in denial no matter how hard gays try to twist things int their favor. What gays do is moral, wrong, and unhealthy as well as unhuman and all gays are the first o know this.
Actually gays are in denial . They plagerize words (gay when depressed is the rioght word for example) to define their activities as better than they are.
You can't really concieve of a one sex world and continmue the human race can you?
Humans are the most curious creatures on earth and naturally inquestive in nature. That is what enabled us to graduate form the animal kindom to the human one.

The proper term, in most cases, isn't "homophobic". It's "heterosexist", if it's in that realm at all.
Homophobia is an unnatural or unreasonable 'fear' of homosexuals or homosexuality. And most people opposed to homosexuality are not opposed out of fear, but on the basis of a moral stance and/or socialogical reasons and/or biological reasons.
"Homophobia" is a catch-all term used in an attempt to dismiss opposing views. It's intellectually dishonest.
As to "why" they come here... I'm sure that there's a plethera of reasons.

Actually when you first log on, the questions come up pretty much randomly.
I personally have never met anyone who was "homophobic", always thought that was strictly a political hype term.
So I guess lost or just randomly, like today, this was the first posting to pop up.
Could it be that people at YA are giving this thread preference?

Their just bored idiots who don't get enough attention. Although I didn't like this movie, in RENT someone was quoting the drag queen named Angel when she/he was being harassed by a skin-head said, "I'm more man than you'll ever be, and more woman than you'll ever get."
