When you zip up your jeans do you zip first, then button? Or do you button first, then zip?

Zip, then button. If I do the opposite sometimes the zipper won't go all the way up unless I tug on the material to keep it straight. They're not tight pants, they're loose. But because the material is already being held by the button it causes a temporary pucker...it's hard to explain.
