It depends on the company, on your profession/job and the mistake.
If you are lawyer and you loose a large case (and large sum) than one mistake is too much. If you sell shoes and you mishandle one customer they will forget you a couple of times.
Nevertheless, it is better not to do mistakes. And when it happens, admit it, ask for help for learning how to improve. It can ease the company's response.

That depends on the industry, if its making matches, probably quite high, but if its somthing critical, like flying a plane, then quite low. very low.
