It's risky doing that. People get points removed and suspension for points chasing.
To get genuine points you need to answer lots of questions. The better your answer, the higher chance you have of getting the bonus 10 points for best answer.
I will sometimes sit down and answer a load of questions. I will answer the ones I know myself, and the others I will refer to my favourite articles site at http://www.hammocksurvivalguide.com/
It's one of the biggest I know, and has got articles on just about everything. So it can normally help. I might suggest a category or two to them.
I have had lots of best answers for my own answers, and my referrals.
The most important thing of all is giving an answer that helps. There's nothing worse than asking a question and getting a load of dribble for answers. I don't particularly like it and I'm sure most others don't too.
It's a good feeling when you get that best answer mail :)

THINK FIRST! A well thought out answer can earn points five times faster than a rushed one.

Always offer your pesonal opinion rather than cut/pasting huge chunks of Wikipedia; people are more likely to appreciate it.

Avoid wasting points by asking pointless questions!

Answer a bunch of questions. Make sure you tune into the questioner's real need and give them what they need. Go back later when the questions are IN VOTING and vote for the best answer. If you think your answer is the best, then vote for yourself.
Sometimes a best answer (10 points) is decided by only one vote.
