You have a token that goes into a mint set or uncirculated set of coins, from the Philadelphia mint. There is also one with a D that goes into the Denver ones. It has no value that I know of. When sets are opened by dealers to get out certain coins, they put these into their junk boxes for a few cents. many sets are broken up for one reason or another and there must be thousands of these tokens around, the mint may consider it a medal.

By your description of the piece, it's probably a medal or token. Like coins, it depends on when it was minted: some years there were many more coins minted than in other years. It is in good condition but I don't know what it is worth it have seen it as much as 26.00 and I have seen it as low as 0.00
