most likley massive inflation.

an advantage would be travel would be easy and you could buy things from other countries without converting your currency and it would make lending money between governments easier.

a consequence would be that there would be massive inflation because we would have to make enough of it to accomodate for the entire planet. meaning that minimum wages would lower and prices would go up.

good idea but it would be dire because it would impoverish the whole world. especialy America would mess some stuff up because of the huge deficit and making that up with the new less circulated currency would cause america to go 3rd world in a heartbeat.

The consequence or advantage is the same namely that eventually & theoretically all resources (assuming mobility) would stabilise into an equilibrium & the value of the currency will truly be equal to it's buying power.
The governments will not let it happen of course...

the advantage is that the whole world is on one currency and there would not be any problems with exchanges. but if we were to have one currency there are many problems because not all countries have a low inflation rate. some countries could have thousands of dollars but in the US it would only be worth 2 dollars. inflation and money value is not all the same in very country and putting everything to one currency there is no way to adjust to the certain country that has high infaltion to where a country has low infaltion it would mess everything up and nothing would be secure...hope that makes sense and helps (they taught me this in my economics class)

Chaos. Different currencies are based on different things. Example, USA is based on gold, UK on sterling silver, Uros on someones imagination.
