I done changed a lot already, and it doesn't mean I'm complacent enough to stop.
One thing I always do is encourage people to get psychiatric help instead of mental help. Through experience, four of them, actually, I learned that most professionals do not refer a client for medical screening. It could have kille dme, my hormones overstimulating my heart and organs like that!
Ten years it took, and finally the right kind of help.
Don't trust MSW's, CSW's, PhD's, or PsyD's who don't send you for a medical screening. Get the care you need, including medical.
It saved my life, after ten years of crippling anxiety and guilt.
So I tell everyone this story if it applies,
and you just gave me another forum.
If I ever got my songwriting onto the air and were famous, this would be my message to help change the world.
My story could save lives or the quality of many lives.
And, yes, I changed myself, and my son's mother, for the better.
