It seems for some reason...on such a great day...people end up getting into an argument for some reason or another...we fought because we couldn't get the time right...trivial as it is,...but finally got it together...lmao...how bout you?

Wow, and I thought it was just our family!

I hate all that. It's why I don't see them more than I do. So little of what is argued about seems worth the trouble. Without the trivial stuff, my family would argue that there is nothing to argue about! So, I enjoy Thanksgiving on my own. I shop, eat out, see friends (who do NOT argue about trivial stuff), and basically enjoy time off work. Thanksgiving is now a relaxing day, and I have the peace of mind to give thanks for my blessings, rather than wish I were somewhere else. Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

I was having a discussion with bf about plans for Friday, I had to work today, so we're making plans for weekend, my daughter heard part of the discussion and assumed we were fighting about something, actually he's a Vikings fan and I'm a Bear fan-we banter back and forth all the time and that's what we were talking about, any way she went off saying she had to put up with me and her biological father fighting on the holidays (we did) and she didn't want to hear it (I've been divorced from her dad since 1981) Something about the tone in my voice took her back to being 4 or 5 and having to listen to that crap. I assured her we were not fighting like that, and we don't, he's very good to me and does alot for her, more than her biological father ever did. She got scared, I apologized for that. It seemed to take the excitement out of her day, we wll talk with her after the festivities tonight. We always watch a movie at the end of the night on TG, it will be good again!
