the thing with the book is called homeport teleport. Anyone can do, all u have to do is go to your spell book and click on the first spell and u will be doing it. The shortcuts are only for members. They usually take u to a place that u can go put the shortcuts a faster way to get there. To get a different pick axe all u have to do is go to falador and go to northeast to the mining place. Which you go down a latter to go to. You go north through the scorpions. watch out for them. You take the path around the place and then right click on the person most north and click trade. You should see all these pick axes. right click on them and click value. you will seee how much they are worth. Then you click buy if you have enough money.

No when the people open the book and a circle comes under them is just Jumbride teleport. All you do is go too your Magic guide(last tab on the top right) and the first spell should be Lumbride home teleport. Anyone can do it. Well you can't use shortcuts unless your a member so don't worry about them if your not. And you can get pic axes from bronze too addy from the dwarf mines.

Some of the previous answers had some good information about the mage spell that does not require any runes to cast. It does take 30 minutes to recharge and it cannot be used if you are being attacked. The first link has some basic information regarding spells. You are refering to the first spell on the list called Home Teleport.

From the Runescape Knowledge Base:
"* Note that although the Home Teleport spell is free to cast, you may only cast it once every half hour. It also uses no runes as it is a ritual teleport, meaning that you will have to wait until the ritual is complete before doing anything else. As a result of this, the teleport can be interrupted by almost everything, as well as being constrained by all of the usual teleport restrictions; it's not such a great spell for escaping the Wilderness!"

Some of the other information can be confusing because pick axes can not be smithed at an anvil. I have a character that can mine runite and have smithing in the 90's and the character has a very high mage level as well.

Nurmof is the only reliable person to buy pick axes other than bronze from. The place he is at in in the Dwarven mines near the anvils back in the corner. (I put another link on the sources [second one] of the RuneScape knowledge base that has a map it is where the gold pick on the left side is) The prices are almost always the same because he usually only has 1 or 2 in stock.

The rune pick ax sells for 32,000 gold pieces (and requires a mining level of 41 to be able to use it). The addy pick sells for 3,200 gold pieces (and requires a mining level of 31 to be able to use it) The mithril pick ax sells for 1,200 gold pieces (and requires a mining level of 21 to be able to use it). The steel pick ax sells for about 500 gold pieces or less since he often has more in stock (and requires a mining level of 6 to be able to use it).

From the Runescape Knowledge Base:
"The mining level required, ONLY applies when you wish to use the pickaxe as a tool to mine rocks. If you do not have the required mining level, you may still wield the pickaxe as a weapon (provided you have the necessary attack level to do so). However, you cannot use it to mine rocks. For example, if you have a mining level of 30 and you obtain a rune pickaxe (which needs a Level 41 mining to be used), you may still use it to attack monsters" (if you have an attack level of 40+), "but if you try and mine coal ore with it you will not be able to use it."

Also if you do not have an attack level of 40+, you will not be able to wield a rune pick ax and attack with it, but you CAN still use it to just mine with as long as it is in your inventory

From the Runescape Knowledge Base:
"Once you have found type of ore that you wish to obtain, you will need to start mining the rock. You can do this by either using a wielded pickaxe, or just by having one in you inventory. When you select 'Mine Rocks' from the menu, your character will automatically use the pickaxe. If your pickaxe was in your inventory it will return there, or if you were wielding the pickaxe it will stay in your wielded inventory slot."

The last link is to the knowledge base agility information page that includes a list to reference where the places you can pass over and what agility level (and sometimes other skill requirements)

Your first question's answer is: That is a magic spell "these can be accessded by clicking on the book tab in your player interace". The spell is called Home Teleport -something like that- This spell requires no runes, but it can be inturpted by combat, plus it takes a while to cast it. The teleportation takes you to the town called "Lumbridge" -this is the town where you were first taken to after you go out of tutorail island. =Requires level 1 magic=

Your second question's answer is: I'm not sure if you can know, I wasn't a member for to long so I never tried it out. I'm sure you can find something about them in Runescape's Mannul.

Your third question's answer is: Bob's Axe Store in Lumbridge -the city you start at once you finish tutorial island- His shop is located by the church, right across fromt the grave yard.
Alertnatives-
1. You could try trading with another player.
2. Try a general store in Lumbridge or Varrock.

the circle is home teleport its the first magic spell on the magic icon when u play. It teleports u bak to lumbridge incase u get lost. It takes 30 mins to use it again though. It cost no runes!
The green arrow is more members only and leads you to some place where u can transport some place else like a fairy ring.
A bronze pickaxe can be bought in stores, the dwarf shop down in draynor village or get a free one at barbain village on the table with the thing that turns wool into balls of wool. Its near the bridge and the across the helmet shop.

The book is the most basic spell. It's under magic menu and its the first one there. It takes no runes. It takes you to Lumbrige. You can buy pic axes at the axe shop or from another player and the green arrows are shortcuts that only members can use.

I don't know what the book is. The green arrow on the minimap is where you are. The pic axe go to Lumbridge General Store or the Axe Shops.

the open book and the person disappearing is probably a teleport. you need to have a certain level to do them.

you can get a pick axe other than bronze by smithing it or you can buy it in dwarven mine.
