Peter Sutcliffe was the Yorkshire Ripper but during his reign of terror some guy murdered his wife and he released details to the police only he, her murderer would know, so hence the police thought he was the Yorkshire Ripper and that he'd killed all the others.

No, one was enough. I live in Leeds in Yorkshire and it was frightening for me and I was only a kid, it must have been horrible for the women of the area.

No there was only one - the killer and a guy who wrote letters and recorded tapes. The guy who was a fake, personally I think is as bad as the actual one because he made the police go off trail and go on a wrong trail as he had a Lancaster (or summat) accent and because of that more girls were killed. RIP all who died :(
