I ride my motorcycle fairly fast. In towns and around built up places I slow down and take it easy. I slow down for corners whilst my mates zoom around them with abandon and I won't put myself into positions where if 'I' mess up I could be hurt or killed or do harm to others. But on bigger open roads and motorways I ride fast with little regard for my or others safety. If that car pulls out on me, if the rabbit runs out, if that manhole is slippy and I crash then it's out of my hands, act of God and all that, and it will happen so fast I won't know it happened so why care.
I have four smashing Children who I love, my Family are great and I love my Girlfriend with all my heart.
In the past I have self harmed and I have had suicidal urges, which I have associated with my riding habits, but I don't feel that way anymore but still I put myself in this situation. It's not just on bikes, I do it in my car too but it's not as extreme a sensation.
Am I just an andrenaline junkie?

If you love your family and don't want to get killed in the accident, you have to slow down. And you might want to see a psychologist too.

At Disneyland only about 5 or 6 rides don't recommend pregnant women to on and those would be Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Indiana Jones Adventure. There may be a few others I'm missing, but those are the big ones. O, and since your going with your three year old here are a few things you may not have known about that you could do with your child. When riding the Disneyland Railroad, ask the conductor or one of the designated cast members if your son could say "All Aboard" into the microphone. You can also ask for your child to 'wake up' Jose in the Enchanted Tiki Room. hope you have a great trip!

you should really think about the other people on the road who you can kill with your irresponsibility.
If you want to ride fast there are places you can go, even ride the proper race cars on actual tracks if you have a need for speed...
There are quite a few other sports and stuff you can take up if you are into risk taking.
Depending on where you live and what's available you can go surfing, rafting etc. In sport if you kill yourself that's it but please don't be so stupid to destroy other people's lives.
How would you like if some "adrenaline junkie" killed your girlfriend and /or children. Would you just see that as an act of god, out of your hands.. and be okay with it?
I wonder why are you're asking the question and specifically why you added the bits about suicide etc.
Seems like you know it's wrong and either want to be told it's normal and live in denial or you want people to say what you might be thinking inside... that it's wrong and dangerous and you need to stop it or get help.

Probably.
I rode bikes for many years and i miss it so much now. (disabled and can no longer hold on to the bars) but that does not mean that i was reckless.
I have lost friends in the past who just rode too fast, they would never listen to what i thought was common sense, some died through "sorry i didn't see him"
The thrill of a bike on the open road is something you can never explain to a non rider and i will not even try.
Enjoy what you have while you have it but do it safely, remember you have a girlfriend and family.
Think on this.
Your girlfriend and kids are standing at the side of an open grave on a cold December day and someone says "how did it happen" and your girlfriend replies " He just took the corner too fast and the lorry did not have time to stop"
Sorry if this is pi**ing you off but i don't want to see more biker statistics in the news.
Have fun and stay safe.

Yeah, you're addicted to the rush. As you get more skill you'll find the corners are a rush too. I have to be carefull what vehicles I have cause I'm not mature enough to keep my license if they're realllllly fast. best advice-(1) keep'm maintained (2) try to stick to rural-less populated areas. have fun- I just bought a new car and scrubbed 1/32" off front tires in 2 months-but-had a blast doing it. I've discovered it's more fun than my crotch rocket (well-as much fun). when I grow up I want a ZX14. OH, by the way, I've got a 42 year old daughter.

I think it is more than just been an andrenaline junkie. If u have self harmed and things before its similar. It something u can be in control of although there is that risk u never know something might happen.

Maybe, but it sounds more like immaturity to me. That you are asking these questions sounds like you are outgrowing this. The reason why insurance companies charge so much more for young males is because they don't mature enough to drive like adults who love themselves and others until they are over 25. Keep questioning why you would do this. I think you have already found the answer and don't want this childish selfish lifestyle anymore. Good for you.

Yup, me too matey.
I look at it from the point of view that speed doesnt kill. Rapidly becoming stationary kills! Society has had all the fun stripped out of it, all the sharp pointy bits removed, and so people like you and me are gonna cut loose at some point. Some jump out of planes, some do drugs, we ride our motorbikes quickly because thats what makes us feel alive. Theres nothing wrong with you mate. Just be careful, and if **** happens, try not to involve anyone else

I would say that to put your life on the line so often and know you're doing it, even when you have four children is a bit selfish. You may not feel anything when you crash, but think of what they will feel...
