what do u think happened... they say when it aint broke why fix it. the former remington steele and the james bond star seems to be still well fit to be bond for several years why change him?

Throughout 2004, Brosnan was rumoured numerous times to have been 'fired' from the role to make way for a new and younger actor. This was denied by MGM and EON Productions. In October 2004, however, Brosnan had been quoted as saying 'it's absolutely over' and that he considered himself fired from the role.

i am very very sad that they dropped pierce brosnan, he was the best bond ever ! ... i mean ever ! ... this new guy is to dum to be a bond ! ... pierce brosnan was the best, with his looks, his gdgets, his look, and especially how he says "bond ... james bond" ... this new guy says it like he has never heard it !!! :s
007 will nev1er be as the way it was when pierce brosnan was james ...
Btw, pierce brosnan had a very big depression when they fired him ... :(

it was broke and they did fix it. the last 2 bond movies are the worst 2 in the whole series. they did a good thing be starting over again.

They wouldnt let him do what he wanted to do for the movie. I think he wanted to use more gadgets. He was a very good James Bond and good eye candy to look at too... mmmm mmmm mmmph.

I think he was dropped by the studio because the general public seemed to think he wasn't particularly suited for the role.
