What are YOU generally trying to accomplish when posting answers to questions?

Get an interesting answer that I haven't thought of before. Sometimes the things we think are "correct" are actually variations of the Truth. Sometimes the new answer I seek is a funny way of looking at things. Sometimes I try to look for someone with similar views, just to feel personally affirmed (pathetic, I know).

Provide a little insight and hopefully help someone if I can. I will not validate some of the more ignorant questions. If I can't offer something positive, I will not answer. Unlike what seems to be a trend among some answerer's, I am not in it for "points".

Most times I want to help people, what I dont like is to confuse them with wrong answers when the question is important, so I answer if I Know, if I dont I skip it.
When the question is stupid and trivial, I just give an answer worthy of a jackass, ha ha, just for fun, sometimes you cant be so serious, and you have to fool around a little bit.

Possibly a difference of opinion that someone had never thought about.. ideas or advice that may seem simple, but may not have been considered.
