But the holidays are never really "over"; there is always a undercurrent, pointing towards the next one

Well somewhat. The holidays are really the only time I get to see all of my family, and/or all of my husband's family (Since we all live in different states). However, I spend a lot of money during this time, which I do enjoy shopping, but on a fixed budget it's very difficult. There's good and bad to everything, and the holidays are no exception!! =)
Happy Holidays

Geez, today is the fist day of "Holiday" and you are already asking such a question? I love the Holiday season from Thanksgiving to New Years Day! It's a time of year when some peeps are just a little nicer to one another even if it is just temporary. Happy Thanksgiving to you!... ;)

No, not really. I like them well enough. I do not hold to too many high expectations or buy into stress about them.
