I'm spending it alone because I had to work yesterday and i have to work early black friday, plus i'm in a college town and no one is here.

Absolutely - I've been on a quiet spa vacation - and I've also been hiking in the mountains, and I've been in Europe, alone at a cafe on Thanksgiving ( which is not a holiday over there.)
Lastly - I went to college 3000 miles from home and stayed through break one year to write a paper. I went to a local diner with all my paper stuff and they gave me a turkey dinner and did not charge me. This was in New York City! I hung out with the servers. I actually had a lovely time.

Yes. Anyone who can't handle being alone on Thanksgiving is insecure.

We dont celebrate thanks giving in the country i live but ive spent a lot Christmas's alone.Going sumwer cool to take my mind of it is the best way of dealing with cause like Christmas I imagine thanksgiving is a holiday where every one spends time with their nearest and dearest.

why not go to a Church, Salvation Army, Marine Corps League as they serve dinner and you will be around people who are also alone. you might make some new friends and prevent another person from being alone.

i'm currently spending thanksgiving alone.
my boyfriend is at work. and both of our families live a matter of hours away AND we both have to work tomorrow. soooo.
i don't really mind it though.
