Depends what you are applying for. In Medicine you need to wear a suit - I'm speaking from experience of interviewing candidates for Med School. I don't know if other fields are as strict but I would say that you can't dress too smartly for an interview, but you can dress too casually. Good luck!

I normally wear jeans and a shirt and blazer to look smart but casual, they are not really too bothered though

anyone who says "i usually wear" has no idea, because it shows they have had many many interviews. i have had only one interview for university but it was for drama school... so i wore tracky Bs and black t-shirt. But my sister and brother go to real unis, and they went very smart. wear a suit with crisp shirt. no jeans.... seriously.

Good luck matey!

attractive and conservative

Remember that what you might consider fairly modest, might be seen as too much by someone else. You want to look like one of the more responsible students, so play the part. Always dress well because making yourself looking as attractive as possible tends to tilt things more in your favour. Don't dress sexy or to any extreme.

Dress what looks good for you, just be sure you have an honest good judge who can tell you how you look.

It's best to look reasonably smart
Whatever you wear, the person interviewing you has seen it all before.
