Depending on what you mean by "good returns," you might want to investigate dividend-yielding stocks such as utilities or real estate investment trusts (REITs), or look to the bond market. Stocks normally pay dividends quarterly, bonds semi-annually.

There is nothing which will give you good returns regularly. You need to change your portfolio with time to time.

Try now with DSPML small and mid cap MF its doing good. AS it is new fund you can buy it at lesser price after this you cant even touch it.

hi,
it actually depends on ur ability 2 take risk; which depends on various factors like age, occupation, family responsibility, std. of living which u want 2 've in future. U can get regular returns by investing in Govt. bonds, post-office deposits, Treasury- bills, Mutual funds.

I would opt for fixed deposit in a government bank or something like that. The fact that the bank is government run, shows its reliable, that is they wont close the bank in a few years.
