depends on several things. usually the vat return is prepared for every 3 months, for example jan,feb & march with the return due to be submitted along with a payment by the end of april.

you can opt to do monthly returns or even annual returns but i think you have to meet certain conditions.

On each individual purchase where same is applicable. For instance if you purchase a new T.V. froma an electrical shop, you pay. whereas if you go to a charity shop or other such establishment and buy it (second hand) the answer is No. Jim

in the uk you pay it more or less everytime you buy anything
