anita bryant is the first recorded singer 26th may 1960 reached no#1,it was re-released in the june &july of that year.
maureen evans also releasedon the 2nd june 1960 it only reached no#40.
the kaye sisters also released on the 7th july 1960 and reached no#7.
marie osmond sang probably the most well known version in november1973 which reached no#2
