i got no idea about guitars...but wana learn quickly and play my favourite song time of your life

Well, I learned how to play from a local music shop that gives lessons like most, and my dad was self taught. The only thing with being self taught is that you can't read the names of the chords or notes. As for the guitar, you can rent one (it depends on which music shop you go to) or buy a cheap one. I got my guitar as a hand-me-down, and you can also search e-bay. Maybe if your still in school you can ask to try out for guitar, but I don't know if your school has a guitar in jazz. Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Volume 1 For Beginners is a great book to start out with. Additionally, get a cheapie $150 guitar that you can become proficient at, then later on get something from Ovation. Their guitars sound great!

Pick up a guitar look up the guitar tabs for your song Green day yak oops sorry. Tabs are easy it requires no talent at all, and best of all most sites tell you how to read tabs. So have fun and good luck.

Find a friend that knows how to play and ask them to show you some chords. Or their's probably a local music store where you can take lessons. Just remember to get good you have to practice, practice, practice!

Beleives in yourself, buy a guitar, get use to it, watch and learn from internet, books and from your surrounding. I beleive we, human can do anything by ourselves except being God and Prophet
