ah! being an american u people believe in all these nonsense things.......ok ! I'm explaining u......
The metter is that : We human beings are psychologycally very complex ones......any picture, image , or any thing that is not living......if it is similar to any human related phenomenon .we'll automatically compare it with tht & that begins the whole confusion.......the gr8 bogus fundas like ghosts , & other stuffs are generated due to this reason....Plz don't believe in such bogus things.
now finally ans of ur question : Ultimately it has been proved what I've described earlier.nasa peolpe has dropped this project......:)

The face was more of an optical illusion due to low grade optics when the photo was first taken. Using better and more modern optics, it was found just to be a typical mountain.
At least that is the official story.

yea, they took more pictures of it but its not soo much face liek anymore. its just a bunch of hills and mountains
