Can I connect a computer monitor to a game console?

I've never seen an adaptor that can do this. According to my local RadioShack guy, its like trying to breed a chiwawa with an elephant.

hi! I asked my bf and he says there is somekind of cabel or adapter to do that ask you local gamestore:)
